Day of the Dead Yoga Retreat Oaxaca, Mexico

Day of the Dead Yoga Retreat

Mezcal & Local Cuisine in Oaxaca, Mexico

A unique yoga retreat to celebrate Mexico, its culture, cuisine, wonders of nature, and artistic expression in Oaxaca, Mexico. Soulful yoga will anchor each day. Traditional Mexican cuisine cooking class, artisanal mezcal demos and tastings adorable accommodations, excursions to visit local artisans like candle makers, rug weavers, and alebrije creators, optional spa services, lots of food markets and shopping time will round out our days. Come experience the rich tradition and culture in the heart of Mexico’s culinary gem, Oaxaca.

During the Dia de Muertos celebration dates (October 28-November 3) we will create an alter of our own, adorn ourselves and venture out into the cemeteries and the streets to partake in this incredibly powerful tradition celebrating the lives of our loved ones lost. Death and dying is such an interesting topic and the way Mexicans view it is, for me, quite impressive. It’s a time of remembering and reuniting with loved ones, once per year in a very real and heartfelt way.

Whenever you decide to join us in Oaxaca you will relish in the incredible culture with food, tradition, architecture and nature that is this incredible city nestled in the mountains. Viva Mexico!

Our retreat will be COVID compliant. We ask that guests arrive with a negative Covid test, regardless of vaccination status, taken 72 hours within arrival. We will be following the guidelines set in place by the local authorities and observing all CDC recommendations for distancing and masks where necessary. We are hopeful that by the timing of our retreats there will be a lot of freedom to travel as usual though we will be observing any restrictions necessary.
